Awards

Dual-D has received various awards for his participation and inspirational appearances.

• July 1994 - Received Key To The City from Mayor Hudnut for promoting the city of Indianapolis since April 8th, 1979 and for raising money for the Indianapolis Symphony/Cincinnati Symphony, running from the Indianapolis Monument Circle to Cincinnati's Coney Island.
• September 1985 - Received a certificate of appreciation from Judge James Payne for forming the (8K) Run For Youth and directing the (1) Mile Youth Run. Both benefitted the Marion Superios Juvenile Court.
• October 1991 - Received letter from Indiana University Basketball Coach, Bob Knight,"Organizations such as yours that stress the development of integrity, honesty, dedication, and determination in our young people is greatly appreciated by so many of us."
• February 1996 - Received The State Of Indiana Certificate Of Appreciation from Lieutenant Governor, Frank O'Bannon. To honor and recognize the carrying of the Olympic Torch across Indiana.
• October 1997 - received Mike Carrol "Ever Light Award" from Indianapolis Mayor Steve Goldsmith. For contributing and continuing efforts with the Pleasant Run Run, benefitting the Indianapolis Guardian Home.
